   Georgette: No Lightweight Folk & Jazz Ensemble

   

   Georgette (Austin, TX) [Tuesday, March 13, 2:40pm]

   The band’s name implies a fabric of lightweight sheerness, but the sound of Austin indie ensemble Georgette brings a weighted songwriting and musicianship tapestry of folk, jazz, and popular music to the stage and studio. Formed when singer/songwriter Natasha Dahanayake met local musicians Jesse Chan and Ellen Murray, Georgette soon included Catie Johnson, and a few other talented supporting musicians featured in live performances and recordings.

   Before they grace Bernadette’s with a performance at Indie Radio Rocks The World 2 on Tuesday, March 13 (2:40pm), listen to Georgette live at West By West Campus, Saturday, February 25, Eden House stage, 9pm.
